Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has added more rules in their latest patch, restricting unlocked add ons.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been going through lots of changes lately, but Activision is trying their hardest not to ruin the reputation of their beloved American shooter series (though leakers are trying).

Just this week, Activision/Blizzard fixed an in-game exploit, one that most Modern Warfare players won’t be too happy about. From now on, any attachments that players hadn’t organically unlocked in the game will no longer be of use in fact, they won’t be able to use them at all.

The developer also addressed a large amount of “unspecified fixes” on “various maps and modes” in the game, as well as even more changes to the Modern Warfare’s backend. Some certain bugs had left some players’ Call of Duty League filter as active, even after they’d joined a party without any CDL filters at all.

Here is the official list of updated patch notes, posted by Infinity Ward on this past Valentine’s Day:

GENERAL FIXES

  • Fix for a bug that allowed players to use attachments not yet earned
  • Exploit fixes on various maps and modes
  • Fixed a bug that leave a players CDL filter active after they’ve joined a party without CDL filters
  • Backend fixes

After another in a series of “accidental data dumps,” a brand new Call of Duty leak all but confirmed that fan favorite map, Rust, would be making an appearance in season two. As well as three other playable multiplayer maps:  Zhokov Boneyard, Atlas Superstore, and Bazaar.

It seems as if Infinity Ward can’t help but allow fans to find these “accidental” easter eggs, with a brand new Battle Royale mode entitled, Warzone, leaking online just last week. Here is a preview concept of what is to come for Warzone.
