Here are some of the hot heroes right now.
The situation around the world is getting crazier every single day thanks to the coronavirus. Needless to say, the Dota 2 scene is also suffering as Valve postponed the fourth Major and Minor.
However, there is also a positive side to all of this. Since most people around the world are sitting at home now, they have loads of time to play. As a result, Steam is breaking records every single day in terms of how many players are online. That’s why it doesn’t come as a surprise that Valve decided to release Dota 2’s newest patch – 7.25.
We’ve briefly covered what are the new changes yesterday, so make sure to read that article first. Today, we will focus on the three heroes that we believe benefit the most from the changes.

The first hero on our list is perhaps one of the most recognizable heroes in Dota 2 – Enigma. Whether you like it or not, this is one of those heroes that is capable of making a real difference during a team fight. Enigma has one of the best ultimates in the game that deals a lot of damage and disables everything that’s inside of it.
Although the hero was picked from time to time, he wasn’t as popular as he used to be. Some teams tried to run Enigma in the offlane but things didn’t go so well with that. However, after the three buffs in 7.25, it seems like this will change.
Enigma now has three more base intelligence, Black Hole does 50 more damage in total (200 instead of 150 on level 3), and level 15 increases Malefice’s damage to +100. As a result, the hero now does significantly more damage at all stages of the game.
Don’t forget that Black Hole’s damage is pure, so 50 extra damage means a lot. After all, it lasts for four seconds, so this means that you will do extra pure damage. This can make all the difference in the world, especially in certain scenarios.
BH is one of those heroes that come in and out in certain metas. Having said that, the hero wasn’t really all that popular in the last couple of months. In fact, he was rarely picked, even in the high-tier pub games.
However, after the changes that took place with the recent update, this is prone to change. Bounty Hunter now has an entirely reworked Aghanim’s Scepter. Instead of doing more damage with his Shuriken Toss, this ability now has more range, less cooldown, and will apply Jinada.
In addition, BH’s level 15 and 20 are also changed. Instead of +50 AS, the talent will now give him +75 Shuriken Toss Damage. On the other hand, the level 20 talent will now provide +60 AS, instead of +125 Shuriken Toss Damage.
As a result, BH now is capable of doing A LOT of damage as soon as he gets the item. Just imagine a situation where all five heroes are tracked and he uses his ability. Don’t forget that in addition to the extra damage from Jinada, BH also steals gold with it.
Unfortunately, there is one problem with this scenario – Aghs is an expensive item. So, unless the game is a complete stomp, it will be pretty hard for a support BH to buy it. This means that the hero can benefit from the changes if he is put as an offlaner. Whether or not we will see something like this is still too early to say.
CK is one of the heroes that hasn’t really been that much in the meta. Sure, he gets picked from time to time but he’s never really been the go-to pick.
However, after the recent changes, we should see him a bit more in the pro games. Patch 7.25 reduced the cooldown of Phantasm to 125 sec (from 145) and increased the range of Reality Rift from 700 to 750. As a result, the hero is now capable of doing more in the team fights.
That said, we are yet to see if this will be enough to make him a popular pick. After all, there are many carry heroes that can do his job better.
