Virtus.Pro has recently acquired Vitaliy “Save-” Melnik for their Dota 2 roster.

Virtus.Pro is definitely the most legendary CIS Dota 2 team. Many people might argue that this title goes to Natus Vincere, but truth be told, the Ukrainians were nowhere to be found in the last couple of years.

However, not everything was unicorns and rainbows for the Virtus.Pro. Despite being one of the best teams in the world, they’ve always struggled at TI. Unfortunately, the same happened this year at TI 9 where they were looking like a mere shadow of what they are truly capable of.

That’s why after TI 9 came to an end, the CIS organization announced drastic roster changes. Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev and Pavel “9pasha” Khvastunov left the team in favor of Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok and Egor “epileptick1d” Grigorenko.

As expected, the CIS powerhouse did not perform that well because they had to adjust to the new roster. They’ve missed out on qualifying for the first Major of this DPC and barely grabbed on a slot for the Minor. In addition to that, their performance at ESL One Hamburg 2019 is always not something that they are proud of.

Vitaliy “Save-” Melnik who previously played for our team as stand-in since the beginning of October signed contract with https://t.co/RghpmPyTHr. The transition was made as a transfer from Winstrike Team.

VP has just announced that they’ve signed a contract with Vitaliy “Save-” Melnik. The young Moldovian prodigy played as a stand-in for VP for over a month now. “I am glad I managed to meet my teammates’ expectations. I will keep improving my game further, learning new things and doing my best for overall success. Thanks to everyone for believing in me!” Melnik said.

The ex-Winstrike player played pretty well, which is why this decision does not come in as a surprise. However, we are yet to see what will happen with epileptick1d, who is also on a trail. Whether or not he will become a permanent part of VP is still up in the air.

After all, being the carry for such a legendary team is not the easiest thing in the world, especially when you have players such as Resolut1ion on your team.
